A multi-talented Youngstar learning Teratali, Adhishree aims to make the dance form popular all over the world. As a Brand Ambassador of ‘Beti Bachao - Beti Padhao” campaign of Bali Block, She also works to empower the women of society.
Adhishree was fond of dancing since her childhood and she began learning Teratali and Rajasthani Folk dance at the age of eleven by herself. She says that she used to participate in her school events and seeing her interest in dancing, her parents introduced her to the Teratali dance form. That is how she developed her interest in Teratali and started learning it with an aim to promote the underrated dance form.
Adhishree learned Teratali under her guru Durga Devi. She is also getting educated in Kathak by Nandini Mohan Choudhary. She says that her guru Chanda is an inspiration for her who always motivates her to perform at various events.
Adhishree says that Teratali is a famous dance form of Padrala villages of Pali district. This folk dance is performed by the women of Kamar tribes and she has also learned it. The men accompanying Teratali dancers sing, along with playing various instruments. Teratali is performed with a Chari on the head, after doing Aarti before starting the performance. Various instruments and costumes are used while performing Teratali. Teratali is a folk dance which is very underrated, although learning this dance form is very difficult and it requires much dedication and patience in order to learn.
Adhishree has performed at various international events. She has also given her performance in Thailand. She has also performed in many big Rajasthani events like Maru Mahotsav, Chittorgarh Mahotsav, Ranakpur Mahotsav, and at various places in India like Kolkata, Bhubaneswar, and more. One of the proud moments for Adhishree was when she performed in the Maru Mahotsav and got praised by a gathering of around one lakh people and many big personalities.
Apart from Teratali dance, Adhishree is the Brand Ambassador of the ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao’ campaign of Bali Block where she empowers women and kids to succeed in their lives. Besides dancing, Adhishree loves painting, acting, cooking, and modeling.
