A passionate young football player, Alaqmar Hotelwala has excelled in district and state-level tournaments while mastering the balance between academics and sports. Trained under expert coaches and inspired by Cristiano Ronaldo, he has built stamina, strength, and determination through disciplined football, gym, and swimming routines.
A ninth-grade student at Delhi Public School, Alaqmar Hotelwala began his football career at the age of eight. What started as casual play with friends outside his home gradually grew into a deep passion for the sport.
Currently, Alaqmar Hotelwala trains at two renowned academies of Udaipur: Stallions Football Academy under Coach Ashraf Raza and Prince FC under Coach Shakeel Ahmed. He credits both mentors for their expert guidance and constant support, which have helped him excel in tournaments and sharpen his game. When it comes to his inspirations, Alaqmar says Cristiano Ronaldo is his ultimate role model. Alaqmar admires Ronaldo’s unique playing style and strives to emulate his dribbling, shooting techniques, and relentless determination.
Alaqmar explains the essence of football with simplicity and clarity: two opposing teams compete to score goals in each other’s nets within 90 minutes. The team with the most goals wins. If the score is tied, the match proceeds to a penalty shootout, where strikers face off against the goalkeeper in a high-pressure battle for victory.
Alaqmar’s dedication to football has already taken him to district and state-level tournaments, along with numerous local competitions. Each game has strengthened his skills, confidence, and determination to go further.
Football has given DPS Student Alaqmar more than just medals and certificates; it has transformed his lifestyle. His stamina has significantly improved, and his commitment to fitness is unwavering—so much so that he wakes up every day at 5 a.m. for practice. The positive changes in his health and physique motivate him to push harder. Balancing academics and sports is never easy, but Alaqmar has mastered this art. Even during state tournaments, which coincided with his annual exams, he managed to attend practice at two academies, keep up with tuition classes, and study diligently at home. His hard work paid off—he succeeded in both fields. At one point, when he faced a setback in football, he decided to strengthen himself further by joining gym and swimming sessions. Gym workouts built his overall strength, while swimming enhanced his leg power—both proving instrumental in improving his game. Continuous training has given Alaqmar exceptional endurance. During school activities or ground laps, while most friends tire quickly, his stamina keeps him going—thanks to his rigorous schedule of football, gym, and swimming. He watches all Ronaldo’s matches and lives by one of his favorite quotes: “In my mind, I am always the best.” For Alaqmar, this is more than a quote—it’s a mindset. Alaqmar believes that while academics are important, physical activity is equally essential for a healthy and successful life. He encourages youngsters to take care of their fitness alongside studies because, in his words, “Health is the real wealth that shapes your future.
