When it comes to being a multi-talented personality, our young star Aparna Bhattacharjee is someone we should all look up to. A Gaudiya dancer, painter and voice over artist, Aparna is also an enthusiast of participating in her school Co curricular activities.
Aparna says that art runs in her family and seeing her aunts and sisters reestablishing the Gaudiya dance fascinated her to come into the field. Inspired by the artists Dr. Mahua Mukherjee and Dr. Satabdi Acharya in her family, she had the zeal to learn, spread and propagate the underrated dance form. When it comes to singing and voice overs, Aparna says that her parents are into the fields and she loves doing it too.
Dr. Mahua Mukherjee and her senior student are her teachers. Aparna says that her father is her role model. Aparna’s parents play an important role in encouraging her to pursue the dance form.
Started her dance practice in 2015 under the guidance of her aunt when she was in her first standard and used to add Gaudiya dance in her performances. Aparna talks about the attire as well which consists of Baluchari and says that different performances use different costumes.
Sharing the stage with great singers in an event organized by the Bangiya Samaj, Watching her performance on Television, Performing in Durga Puja and other events, Acting as a lead character in Penelope animation series aired on Hotstar.
Aparna says that she does various types of voice overs on Radio and Dance Drama. She has done voice overs in television ads like Fena, Nestle Koko Krunch, Havells, Microtek, FirstCry and more. She says that she enjoys doing animated voice overs. Inspired by the song “Amar Mukti Aloy Aloy”, she aims to get Gaudiya Dance recognized all over the world. Social science is her subject of interest and she continuously updates herself on general knowledge and awareness in order to prepare herself for IFS.
