Daksh from Pioneer Public School began dancing to fulfill his mother’s dream but it later became his passion. Along with dancing, he is also engaged in modeling and acting. He aspires to go miles in the field.
The Initiation
Daksh says that modeling, dancing, and acting is his passion. He has been learning to dance for the last four to five years. He has recently joined JDCA Dance Studio to hone his dancing skills. It was the dream of his mother to become a dancer but due to stage fear, she could not. To fulfill the dream of his mother, Daksh started doing dance and gradually developed an interest in the same. He says that after his interest grew in dancing, he has been aspiring to live for dance and make a good career in it.
Gurus & Role Models
Daksh is learning and practicing dance under the guidance of Jitendra Salvi at JDCA Dance Studio. Sometimes he also gets trained under Arvind Sir and Sonal Ma’am. He says that he has acquired a lot of knowledge and confidence after joining the dance studio. His teacher always motivates him to participate in various dance competitions which has helped Daksh develop confidence as a result. Daksh aspires to make his coach, parents, and the country proud. His mother always encourages and supports him in every endeavor and is a role model for him.
The Talent
Daksh says that the Bollywood style is his favorite style of dancing and its features include body gestures and expressions. Bollywood is a style that requires a person to enjoy while performing. Talking about the benefits of dancing, Daksh says that it improves a person’s physical and mental health and helps in burning calories as well.
Achievements
Daksh gets himself registered in every local dance competition. He practices hard for every competition and has won prizes in a few. He also has been a constant class topper and has topped in his school twice. He has recently started modeling and has won four titles namely Teen Gujarat 2022, The Perfect Model of the Year 2022, Prince and Princess Lakecity 2023, and Kadam Kids Fashion Show Season 3. He has also auditioned for acting and is waiting for the selection results.
A Bit More
Daksh says that he likes the Bollywood style because this is a dance form in which one can enjoy oneself while performing. Govinda is his favorite dancer and Daksh draws inspiration from this dancer. Daksh has participated in Urban Threads which is a street fashion show where he would be wearing and representing the outfits of various international brands. Further, Daksh adds that the song “Jaadugar” sung by Paradox in the TV show Hustle 2.0 is a stress buster and a great motivation for him. He says that just the way Mumbai is named as the City of Dreams, Udaipur should be known as the City of Dance and advises the parents to let their children pursue their career in dancing. “Excelling in academics is important, but one must also follow your passion along” is the thought that gives him inspiration. Advising the new dance aspirants, Daksh says that dance or any other physical activity will help them stay fit mentally and physically. Also, to the parents, Dask urges them to let their children pursue their passion along with their studies.
