For the past eight years, Akash Mourya has been honing his cricket skills at Master Blaster Cricket Academy in Kota. Since he began playing cricket at the age of eleven, he has amassed an impressive batting average of 45 as a right hand batter. He also does left arm bowling.

The Initiation

When Akash witnessed Sachin Tendulkar play in 2011, he became interested in cricket and began playing at the age of 11. He felt that he might play cricket professionally and that he needed to practice. He was greatly inspired by his perception that he might succeed in cricket.

Gurus & Role Models

Akash first enrolled in MBCA to learn cricket under the direction of coach Abhimanyu Sharma. He learned the fundamentals of cricket from his trainer, including how to grip a bat. In Akash's opinion, cricket is a vast book that covers more than just batting and bowling. He is grateful for his coach's encouragement and diligence. Since his father has always encouraged and supported him, he views him as his role model. His father instilled in him the value of hard effort and complete commitment in his career. He also thinks highly of Rahul Dravid's style of play when he plays in test matches.

The Talent

The main advantage of playing cricket, according to Akash, is that it helps in maintaining an active and healthy lifestyle. Cricket has a bright future since it is a commitment-based sport, feels Akash.

Achievements

Akash has participated in district-level competitions for the past three consecutive years. With an average of 45 when batting, he has the highest cricket playing average in Kota.
