A young Crystal Glass Artist and World Record Holder from Udaipur, Aman Hussain is carrying forward his father’s legacy with passion and precision. With no tools, just hands and heart, he creates intricate art that has earned him global recognition and records. Rooted in tradition yet driven by youthful vision, Aman believes the real competition is always "You vs You."

The Initiation

Aman Hussain, a budding Crystal Glass Artist and a BBA student, has been immersed in the intricate world of this rare art form since childhood. “It’s been 15 years since I started practicing this art,” he says with pride. The craft, passed down from his father—renowned International Artist Vakar Hussain—has become not just a skill, but a legacy. Aman’s earliest memories of this artistic journey trace back to the vibrant cultural space of Shilpgram, where his father once began showcasing his work. Today, Aman too displays his art there, drawing admiration from both tourists and the local community of Udaipur. The love and response he receives from the people fuel his passion further.

Gurus & Role Models

Unsurprisingly, Aman’s ultimate role model remains his father, Vakar Hussain, an international figure in the crystal glass world. “Whatever I know, I’ve learned from observing him—his techniques, his struggles, and his journey.” Aman credits his father’s life of dedication and perseverance as the foundation of his own path. While Aman humbly admits he hasn’t faced the same level of struggle, he deeply values the wisdom, discipline, and work ethic he has inherited. He reflects on his learning curve with honesty: "I made many mistakes in the beginning, but with time, observation, and practice, I improved." Even today, he continues to follow in his father’s footsteps, aiming to uphold and evolve the legacy.

The Talent

Aman Hussain describes Crystal Glass Art as a deeply delicate and demanding form of expression. What makes it extraordinary is that no tools are used—every piece is entirely handcrafted. Precision, patience, and years of practice define this art, making it both challenging and rewarding.

Achievements

Aman Hussain holds a special place in the world of records. He etched his name in the Royal Success- International Book of Records by creating a 5mm Ganpati idol, a feat that also marked a proud moment where he surpassed his own father's previous record. "That was my first and most special record," Aman shares, "because it was inspired by my father, and I got to walk a step ahead of him." In addition to this milestone, Aman has received numerous national and international awards, along with several medals during his school years. Many of these honors have been presented to him by none other than Lakshyaraj Singh Ji Mewar, further validating his exceptional talent.

A Bit More

Born in 2005 and raised in Udaipur, Aman is not just a master of crystal glass art—he’s also a multi-talented creator. His interests extend into painting, crafting, general arts, and playing the guitar, which he does skillfully. A firm believer in holistic growth, Aman is also a fitness enthusiast who finds time for the gym and physical wellness alongside his artistic pursuits. A quote that deeply resonates with Aman is: “You vs You.” He believes this phrase perfectly captures life’s real competition—not with others, but with one's own past self. “When you look back,” he explains, “you realize how much you've grown. Even a small step forward is still progress.” To all young dreamers, Aman offers heartfelt advice: “Pursue what you truly love. Don’t let societal pressure dictate your choices. Even if you fail, let it be in something you're passionate about—that kind of failure still holds value.” He also encourages the youth to detach a little from social media and focus on creating something in the offline world, where real growth often happens. Especially for those interested in the art world, he emphasizes that hard work is non-negotiable. Aman Hussain represents the new wave of young artists who are blending traditional mastery with modern spirit, proving that with passion, patience, and purpose—art can not only survive but thrive across generations.
