A cricket player from Government School who got inspired after seeing his father play, Deepak joined an academy to enhance his skills in the game. He feels that there are many job opportunities available in the field which a player can choose from.
Deepak Nakwal has been playing cricket for the past four years. He started playing cricket after seeing his father play cricket. He requested his father to buy him cricket equipment and started playing at home. Slowly, his interest grew in the field and his father got him admitted to KT Cricket Academy.
Deepak says that his coach, Kailash Meena, teaches him very well. He teaches him the minute aspects of the sport which is helping him better his game. He considers his father an idol, as he always supports him. He is also fond of M.S.Dhoni and likes his captaincy, batting and wicket keeping.
Deepak says that cricket helps in maintaining our physical and mental health and provides opportunities to meet new players. Deepak says that we should always play with patience and never give up in the game. He says that we should always try to give our best with each passing day.
Deepak won the Best Fielder Award in the JPL tournament in which his team came third. He has also played at the district level on behalf of his school.
Whenever Deepak gets sad, he listens to the song ‘Besabriyaan’ from the movie, M.S.Dhoni- An Untold Story to get motivated. Advising youngsters, Deepak says that cricket is a game that helps us remain mentally and physically fit. He feels that this field provides a number of career opportunities like playing for the country or becoming a coach or umpire.
