Deetya Kumar from Rajmata Krishna Kumari Girls' Public School began inline speed skating as a hobby and then further continued it professionally. She has won several awards at the district and national levels and aspires for achieving more in her journey.
Deetya began inline speed skating at the age of five just for fun. However, she gradually developed an interest in the sport and that was when her father enrolled her in professional skating practice.
Deetya began learning skating at the Shivam Skating Academy. Thereafter, she took admission to Gaushala Maidan. She also does self-practice in the morning and evening to hone her skills in which her father helps her. Deetya considers Aarathy Kasturi Raj as her inspiration because she is a famous inline speed skater.
Deetya has been representing Rajasthan in Inline Speed Skating for the last two years. Since she began skating, she has won various awards at different levels. Recently, she has received the title of Fastest Skater and Number One Skater of Rajasthan in the 9 to 11 age group. Deetya won two gold and one bronze medals in the All India IPSC Skating Championship. She was a bronze medalist in the Rajasthan State Competition 2021, a silver medalist in the Rajasthan Competition 2022, and a gold medalist in the Rajasthan State First Ranking Championship in 2023. She had also participated in the Universal World Record and the International World Record in 2022.
Deetya also has a YouTube channel which has 286K subscribers at present. She is proud of the achievement of representing Rajasthan’s Team at a National level tournament. Advising the new aspirants, Deetya says that if you also want to become a youngstar, then stick to whatever goals you have and keep working hard to achieve them. There will be many small and big difficulties in achieving the goals, but if you keep working hard, a day will come when success will kiss your feet. “Trust yourself and work hard, success will kiss your footsteps” is her favorite quotation that motivates her the most.
