Gaurang, a cricket player and 17-year-old student at Bansal Public School, enrolled in the Master Blaster Cricket Academy during his third grade. He has participated in a number of district and state cricket championships. His development as a cricket player has been greatly aided by his coach.
Gaurang states that his father, a district level cricket player, served as his inspiration for taking up the sport. During the 2015 India-Pakistan World Cup match, he first learned about cricket and became enthralled with the game. After asking his father to enroll him in an academy, he went on to play cricket and continued to learn new things every day.
Since he enrolled in the MBCA academy, his coach Abhimanyu has helped him develop significantly as a cricket player. He gained a lot of knowledge from his coach as he was taught the fundamentals and strategies of cricket. Gaurang views his father as a role model and was influenced by the way he played the game. He is also encouraged by his mother's support.
The key to playing cricket is developing mental and physical toughness, says Gaurang. It also helps you become competitive and succeed in your academics.
Gaurang represented Bharatpur in the Under-14 and Under-16 district tournaments. He has also represented his school, Bansal Public School, in Under-17 School State tournaments.
