Hrihday is a talented Badminton player who has been adding numerous achievements to his name. Being a sports enthusiast, he encourages youngsters to also participate in sports along with their education.

The Initiation

Hrihday began playing Badminton six years back getting inspired by his fellow mate near his residence. Thereafter, Khushwant sir at his school coached him in the game and that is when his career in Badminton started. After completing his twelfth standard, he joined Vaikuntha Sports Academy and has been practicing there for the last two years.

Gurus & Role Models

Initially Hrihday was getting trained in Badminton under his school coach Khushwant. After twelfth, he joined Vaikuntha Sports Academy and is currently practicing the game under his coach Deepak Dangi. Speaking about his role models, Hrihday says that Lee Chong Wei - a renowned Badminton Player in Malaysia inspires him, and he aspires to make the country proud just like his role model. Also, his former coach Khushwant has always encouraged him during his failures and therefore, he is also his role model.

The Talent

Hrihday says Badminton is a sport that requires fitness and focus. It increases your agility, mindfulness, and strength, and also helps you release your pressure. Badminton is a very good sport to keep yourself fit.

Achievements

Hrihday got selected in the inter-school district level tournament while he was in tenth standard and stood in the first position. Thereafter, he, along with his team, also won the Under-17 and Under-19 tournaments in the eleventh and twelfth standards and achieved the seventh position in the district. Hrihday has also participated in the State Open Badminton Tournament.

A Bit More

Giving a brief about Badminton, Hrihday says that good stamina is the utmost necessity in the sport. Develop stamina, there are various kinds of workouts like running workouts, and agility workouts for footwork. Also, mental ability is used to decide the shots. There are various events in the game like Singles, Doubles, Mixed Doubles, and Women's Singles. There are three sets of twenty-one points each, and one needs to win any two to win the game.
