Jigyasa Patel is studying in St. Anthony's Senior Secondary School, has achieved much success and won numerous medals in boxing. She idolizes Mary Kom for her fitness and advises new boxers to do what they want without overthinking and to believe in themselves and work harder.
Jigyasa says that she began boxing in 2020 and has been engaged in the sport since then.
Jigyasa got her boxing training under Yash Singh Sisodiya and Vandana Pawar and currently she is practicing boxing at St. Anthony’s Boxing Club. She says that Mary Kom is her role model because of her fitness even after having three children.
Speaking about the features of boxing, Jigyasa says that boxing requires strength and stamina to help you stay healthy and fit.
Jigyasa won a gold medal in Open State Junior Boxing Tournament and she also participated in Open Nationals. She also won a gold medal in RBSE school tournaments, CBSE Zonal Tournament, and participated in CBSE Nationals.
Advising the boxing aspirants, Jigyasa says, “When you want to do something just do it without giving it much thought.” She finds motivation in the saying “Believe in yourself and work harder.”
