Encouraged by her cricketer father, Khushi, a sports enthusiast, started playing Table Tennis. Khushi believes that academics and sports are equally important, and that one should devote their time equally to both. She is pursuing her academics from St. Paul's Senior Secondary School. Khushi advises new aspirants to focus on their goals, work hard, and bounce back stronger.
Khushi says that she belongs to a sports background as her father is a cricket player. Therefore, her inclination in sports was natural and she started playing Table Tennis while she was in eighth standard. She started her sports journey with Kho Kho and while she was playing the game in school, one of her teachers, Parul observed her game and introduced her to Table Tennis and that is how she came into Table Tennis.
Khushi trains under Amit Thanvi and says that her coach is a highly motivated person who always motivates the players and encourages them to perform better. Khushi’s role model is her coach who plays and coaches with determination. Apart from her coach, she also gets inspired by Sharath Kamal, India’s Top table Tennis Player. Also, her father is her constant support.
Khushi says that academics and sports are equally important in life. Sports help in improving your physical strength and mental ability.
Khushi participated in State Athletics in 100 meters and 200 meters races and stood third and fourth in the tournament. She has also participated in various State Kho Kho Tournaments and has been a top player in the game. She played in the Senior National Table Tennis Championship that was held in Jammu.
Advising the aspiring players, Khushi says to be focused on your goal and keep working hard. Even if you lose at any point, work hard, and bounce back stronger. She finds inspiration in the saying “I can do all the things through Christ who strengthens me.”
