Lakshyaraj, a talented chess player studying in St. Anthony’s Senior Secondary School, believes chess is a brilliant game that enhances your imagination, calculation, and mental strength. Lakshyaraj has participated in many tournaments. He advises new aspirants to follow their passion and focus on winning in life and chess.

The Initiation

Getting fascinated by the players playing chess when he visited The Chess Club during his first standard, Lakshyaraj began playing the sport.

Gurus & Role Models

Lakshyaraj says that the International Arbiter and National Chess Instructor, Vikas Sahu at St. Anthony’s Senior Secondary School is his coach. His coach has supported him and encouraged him to play in tournaments and achieve his goals. Mikhail Tal, the great chess player, is his role model because of his awesome sacrificing moves on the board.

Achievements

Lakshyaraj participated in and became the Under-11 State Champion. He also became the Under-15 Lake City Champion and has participated in many other such tournaments.
