An international Karate player from SAGE International School-Ayodhya Nagar, Bhopal, Naumishi Dubey has won 13 medals in the sport over three years. Naumishi is a Kumite player, focusing on individual displays and fights. She practices at Shivajeet Martial Arts Academy under her guru Shivajeet Soni, and considers her parents and coach Shiva as her role models. She advises young people to be motivated, try their best, and to follow their passion.
Naumishi Dubey is a student of SAGE International School-Ayodhya Nagar, Bhopal. She is a Karate player and has passed three categories for getting the Brown Belt. She has been playing this sport for the last three years. Initially, she was not interested in karate, but at the time of the COVID lockdown, she started taking online karate classes and then joined an academy. Her interest developed in this sport after winning a gold medal in her first tournament.
Naumishi practices Karate at Shivajeet Martial Arts Academy under the guidance of her guru Shivajeet Soni. Her guru has taught her well and always motivates her even if she loses a tournament. He encourages her to do better in the next fight or tournament. She considers her parents and her coach Shiva as her role model. She says her parents first motivated her to pursue the sport. She also admires the support and encouragement of her coach. Her coach appreciates her by saying that she is dedicated to her practice.
Naumishi shares that there are two different categories in Karate- Kata and Kumite. She is a kumite player in karate. In Kata, individual displays have to be done and in Kumite, individual fights have to be done.
Naumishi Dubey has won a total of 13 medals in karate by participating in various tournaments in a span of three years. She participated in the first karate tournament held at Aurobindo School and earned a gold medal in it. She secured three golds, one silver and one bronze medal in the district level tournament. She has achieved two gold medals in state tournaments and two gold and two silver medals in national level karate tournaments. Furthermore, she has also secured three bronze medals in international tournaments.
The sayings of her parents “Try hard, be your best and all the best” motivates her the most. She advises young kids to be motivated, to try their best and to follow your passion according to your interests.
