Ridhima began playing table tennis with her parents' support. She believes good reflexes are crucial for the game, as it is the world's second fastest sport. As a player, Ridhima advises youngsters to pursue sports, as participating in sports makes one fit.

The Initiation

Ridhima began playing table tennis five years back. She says that her mother encouraged her and enrolled her in the game so that she could stay fit mentally and physically. Her parents support her a lot in the game, never pressurize her for studies, and encourage her to pursue a career of her choice.

Gurus & Role Models

Ridhima learns Table Tennis from Lalit Bithu at the Wings Table Tennis Academy. She says that her coach gives equal attention to every student and motivates them to perform better. Ridhima believes that her mother and maternal grandmother are her role models as they efficiently maintain a proper balance on their personal and professional fronts. Manika Batra is her role model when it comes to table tennis and Ridhima aspires to be like her.

The Talent

Ridhima says that to play table tennis, one must have good reflexes. She says that table tennis is the world’s second fastest game and therefore one needs to be fast in hand and leg movements while playing table tennis.

Achievements

She says that her team stood in the first position in the school state championship and she achieved third position in singles. She has also participated and won in various district matches and is currently improving her state rankings under which she secured second position in Under-17 and under-15 Tournaments, and third position in Under-19.

A Bit More
