Ridit is a Class VI student and has been learning music for the last three years. He loves spending time at the music school, learning more about the instrument from his guru.

The Initiation

Coming from a strong musical family background, with both his aunt and father involved in music, Ridit was inspired to pursue tabla seriously. Surrounded by a musical atmosphere since childhood, he developed a keen interest in playing the tabla and performing on stage. With the support of his family, he enrolled at Shruti The School of Music, where his guru, Pt. Narendra Sir, has been guiding him to learn tabla with discipline and dedication.

Gurus & Role Models

Tabla player Ridit considers Pt. Narendra Sir is his guru and mentor, as he focuses individually on each student and helps learners improve their skills with concentration and discipline. Alongside this, Ridit is also pursuing his tabla degree from Pragya Sangeet Samiti. He has completed his first year and is currently in the second year of his music studies. His role model is Ustad Zakir Hussain. He is inspired by his performances and music videos and hopes to become a tabla player like him one day.

The Talent

Playing the tabla has not only helped him in extracurricular activities but has also brought him mental peace and calmness. It helps him study patiently and understand subjects with better concentration. Music has also boosted Ridit’s confidence, giving him mental clarity and helping him express himself thoughtfully and confidently.

A Bit More

He also has a message for all young stars: “Rather than spending time scrolling through reels, one should learn music. Music teaches discipline, values, morals, wisdom, and good manners.”
