Rishi joined Table Tennis at a very young age under the guidance of his coach Amit Thanvi. He has been playing table tennis for the last ten years.
Rishi started playing table tennis ten years ago when he was in fifth grade and got inspiration from his coach Amit Thanvi.
Rishi admires the encouraging behavior g of his coach Amit Thanvi. He practices at the Railways Academy and avails of the facilities provided by the Railways.
Rishi says that table tennis is a game that requires various skills like movement, exercise, workout, jumping, running, etc. Being physically fit is also important for playing table tennis. It is helpful in improving eye contact and making people mentally strong.
Rishi participated in School nationals for continuous six years and won silver medals. He scored a good rank in the Open States(under nineteen) and also participated in the National Championship in Alleppey, Kerala. He recently played Senior Nationals in Jammu and gained a lot of experience there.
To the youth, Rishi says that one should play every sport with the spirit of the game. Hard work and consistent practice are required to achieve success. Sports enhance your focus and mental as well as physical strength. “Consistency and hard work are the keys to success” is the thought that gives him motivation.
