Ritvika, a student of St. Gregorios Senior Secondary School, began playing basketball as a hobby and later her interest grew in the sport. Being trained by her coach Usha Acharaj, Ritvika believes regular basketball practice benefits your mental and physical health.
Ritvika began playing basketball three years ago during the Covid lockdown as a pastime but gradually developed interest in the sport and continued it further.
Ritvika is learning the skills of basketball from her coach Usha Acharaj in Maharana Pratap Khel Gaon in Udaipur.
Ritvika considers basketball to be the game of physical strength. She says that this sport helps in developing strength and keeping one fit and healthy.
Ritvika participated in the Open State District Basketball Tournament that was held in Sri Ganganagar and her team secured third position in the game. Apart from this, she has played in three more district level basketball tournaments.
To the aspiring and talented youngsters, Ritvika says that basketball is a good sport for developing and maintaining mental as well as physical health. Therefore, one should definitely play basketball even if not professionally but as a hobby. The thought “Practice makes a man perfect” inspires her a lot.
