Riya Meena, pursuing her academics at the Ryan International School in Udaipur, has been playing MMA for the last two years. With the support of her parents, she has been practicing the sport daily and winning various titles at district, state, and national levels.
Riya Meena has been practicing Mixed Martial Arts for the last two years at Sensei Raj Academy of Mixed Martial Arts & Combat Fitness (SRA MMA). She says that she met Senpai Bala at her school who encouraged her to play Kudo and take part in tournaments and that was the start of her MMA training.
Getting trained under Senpai Bala at the Sensei Raj Academy of Mixed Martial Arts & Combat Fitness, Riya is improving her health and developing various techniques in the game every day. She says that her parents are her role models as they motivate her to play this sport and achieve various titles in the same.
Riya says that Martial Arts is good for physical fitness and engaging in this sport will definitely help people with their health.
Riya was not able to participate in the state and district level tournaments because she did not have any opponent in her category. However, when she appeared for the National MMA Tournament, she won a bronze medal which was her very first achievement in MMA. She later participated in the state and district level MMA tournaments and won gold medals in each. Her proudest moment was to win three bronze medals in the national level MMA tournament and she aspires for higher grades in the next tournaments.
