A yoga enthusiast from Sitapur, UP, Sachin Trivedi entered the realm of Yoga in 2016 and is currently doing a BSc in Yoga Science at Patanjali University. He believes yoga possesses a deep meaning, benefits various body parts, and is beneficial for mental intelligence and inner strength. He has won medals in regional and national competitions and is practicing yoga to increase flexibility and inner body strength.
Sachin shares that in the beginning, he started doing yoga at his Kendriya Vidyalaya school and discovered that it is a highly beneficial physical activity. Subsequently, he began competing in tournaments, and is presently pursuing a Bachelor of Science Degree in Yoga Science at Patanjali University in order to acquire extensive understanding of the discipline.
According to Sachin, Yoga has a profound significance and is practiced to manage the mind's proclivities in accordance with the Yoga Sutra. Both the Geeta and the Upanishads mention yoga in their scriptures. It helps with the lower back, upper back, lower middle back, and shoulders, among other things. He claims that in the second chapter of the Bhagavad Gita, verse 48, Shri Krishna advises Arjun to focus on his accomplishments rather than his flaws, a practice known as yoga.
Sachin states that he and his team took home a bronze medal in 2016. He competed at the regional level in 2019 and, along with his teammates, won a silver medal. Then, he was chosen for the national tournament, which was held in Bhubaneswar, where he won a gold medal.
Sachin is currently preparing a research paper for his B.Sc in Yoga Science on how to develop and increase flexibility like backward and lower back bending etc. and what are its benefits. In addition, he practices pranayamas to strengthen his inner body. For instance, he explains that Gomukhasana helps improve the function of your digestive system, while Tadasana promotes height gain. In his second semester, he studied Hatha Yoga, which has four chapters: pranayama, asanas, and shatkarma. He is always inspired by the Patanjali Yoga Sutra's "Sthiram Sukham Asanam" shloka, which states that asana is the state of being content and happy while we stay still in one spot. According to him, the goal of yoga is to achieve happiness in asanas. He advises everyone to do yoga since it has several advantages, including strengthening our inner selves, cognitive abilities, and physical strength.
