Shiva is a passionate tennis player. He has achieved numerous victories in the sport. He advises new aspirants to participate in the game, gain knowledge, play, and win.
Shiva has been practicing Tennis for the last six to seven years. He says that his father is also a tennis player and used to practice everyday in the morning and getting inspired by him, Shiva also started playing the sport when he was in eighth standard. With time, his interest increased in the game and he gradually honed his skills in the same.
Shiva practices tennis at Maharana Pratap Khel Gaon under the guidance of his coach Khemraj. He says that his coach guides him with his own experiences and has been a great teacher for the last six years. Shiva is inspired by Roger Federer - a Swiss table tennis player.
Shiva says that tennis is a mental as well as a physical game and it also increases eye focus. He says that a player can win an international scholarship if they get a rank under hundred in the AITA (All India Tennis Association) Tournament.
Shiva began playing tennis when he was in eighth standard and secured first or second position continuously six times in the District Tennis Tournament. He also won a silver medal in the State Tennis Tournament. In 2019 he participated in the National Tennis Tournament held in Gurgaon and achieved fourth rank in the entire Rajasthan. He says that he participated in SGFI and got the opportunity on a government seat to pursue free education at his college.
Advising the aspirants of Tennis, Shiva says that the game is very good for mental strength and has many scholarships on offer. Therefore, participate in the game, gain knowledge, play, and win, says Shiva. He finds inspiration and motivation in the saying “Take action on every goal you think of each day to make your next day better.”
