A Kathak Youngstar, Vartika started learning this classical dance at an early age. She feels happy seeing her parents delighted when they see her perform.

The Initiation

Vartika has been learning Kathak for the past six years and is happy with her journey in the field so far. She says that seeing one of her friends doing Kathak motivated her to start her classical art journey.

Gurus & Role Models

Vartika says that her friend is her role model as watching her made her realize that she also could come into this field as she was able to perform any type of dance.

The Talent

Vartika feels that Kathak is not only a dance but also a discipline and performing and practicing the same is like doing an exercise. Vartika is learning Kathak from Dr. Chandrakala Chaudhary who is running ‘Kathak Ashram’ in Udaipur.

A Bit More

Apart from Kathak, Vartika also goes to a drawing class and has also attended an Abacus class in the past. She feels that attending different classes has taught her time management in life.
