Young talent Manya Behl is an enthusiastic 11-year-old student studying in the 4th standard, with a deep interest in Kathak and music. Passionate about performing arts from a young age, she aspires to become a Kathak dancer in the future. Alongside dance, she is also learning to play the harmonium, reflecting her growing love for Indian classical arts. Manya is receiving training and mentorship at Shruti – The School of Music, where she continues to nurture her artistic skills with dedication, discipline, and joyful learning.
Manya has been learning harmonium for the past year, gaining knowledge and inspiration from her teachers and fellow students. After being introduced to the instrument through Dhara Di, she became curious and decided to try learning harmonium, gradually developing a strong interest in music. Alongside music, Manya has successfully completed two years of Kathak training at Shruti – The School of Music and has now entered her third year of learning. While her parents encouraged her to pursue Kathak, her decision to learn harmonium came from her own curiosity and passion for exploring music and performing arts.
Manya considers Pt. Narendra Kumar Biyawat to be her role model and guiding inspiration in music and performing arts. She aspires to learn and grow like her guru, whose teachings and disciplined approach motivate her every day. By learning from her mistakes and practicing regularly, Manya sees her guru as a true guiding light who patiently helps her improve, builds her confidence, and supports her artistic career with care and dedication.
Through dance and music, youngstar Manya has noticed positive growth in both her academics and learning abilities. She feels that practicing Kathak and harmonium helps her develop better concentration, focus, and a deeper interest in studying different subjects. She especially enjoys practicing Kathak and spending time with her friends at Kathak classes, making her learning path both joyful and inspiring. Performing Kathak has also helped her become more disciplined and confident, contributing to improved concentration and better academic performance.
Fond of drawing and creative activities, Manya actively participated in a drawing competition where she secured 3rd position, showcasing her artistic talent from a young age. Along with this, she has also received a trophy for Kathak and gifts for her singing performances, reflecting her growing interest in multiple art forms.
Youngstar Manya especially loves singing and dancing to the devotional song “श्री कृष्ण गोविंद हरे मुरारी…” as it fills her with peace, positivity, and joyful energy.
