Nidhi Mangal transformed her father’s encouragement into a determined pursuit of excellence on the badminton court, training rigorously since 2019. Guided by top coaches and boosted by medals at District and State levels, she has grown into a focused and disciplined athlete. Motivated by international sensation An Se-young, she steps onto the court not just to claim victory, but to grow with every shot and overcome every challenge.
Nidhi Mangal, a student at Subodh College, Jaipur, began her journey in Badminton in 2019. It was her father who first encouraged her to pursue badminton, recognizing her potential and athletic build. With a strong belief in her capabilities, he inspired her to take up the sport seriously—and that decision laid the foundation for what has now become six years of dedicated training and progress.
Nidhi Mangal trains at the Rajputana Badminton Academy under the expert guidance of Coach Vikram Singh Shekhawat and Indonesian coach Reno Sir. She credits Coach Vikram for playing a crucial role in shaping her game—from sharpening her rally patterns and strokes during court sessions to pushing her limits during intense physical training routines. She emphasizes that these physically demanding sessions are essential because, without that strength and endurance, success on the court is impossible. Her admiration lies with national badminton players, who serve as real-life examples of focus, discipline, and excellence. Among international stars, she looks up to An Se-young, especially for her tactical gameplay and court strategy. Observing such players strengthens Nidhi’s desire to reach similar heights in her career.
Over the years, Nidhi has consistently proven her talent on the court. She earned the Runner-up position at the District level, securing a Silver medal, and also claimed third prize in a State-level Doubles tournament. Her skills and performance led her to represent her school at School Nationals and various state-level tournaments, adding valuable experience to her growing resume as a competitive athlete.
During moments of doubt or demotivation, it is her coach Vikram Singh’s words that reignite her determination: “If you work hard and want to succeed, you must first pay the cost—only then will you see the results.” This message has become a guiding principle for Nidhi. It reminds her that every success demands a price, and that price is unwavering effort, sacrifice, and persistence. Nidhi believes Badminton—or any sport—teaches invaluable life lessons. She encourages others to take up the sport, highlighting how it instills discipline, encourages a healthy routine, and shapes individuals into well-mannered and active human beings. For her, badminton is not just a sport—it's a path to personal growth, mental strength, and lifelong fitness.
