A student of 11th grade in SAGE International School in Ayodhya Nagar, Bhopal, Prachi Dwivedi is also a classical flute player, social entrepreneur and activist, and debater with a passion for sports too. She began her Model United Nations journey in sixth grade and has since founded the Kadam Foundation-an NGO which has started an initiative called 'Aatmdhaar' for providing skills training to women in slum areas and has also established a makeshift classroom to teach needy children. Prachi also participates in Rashtriya Sevika Samiti (RSS) activities, where she learns about motherhood, leadership, and duty. She has attended over 25 conferences and also served on the executive board of the organization.
Apart from being a Classical Flute Player, Prachi Dwivedi also has a passion for sports, especially badminton, volleyball, and basketball. Badminton, her favorite sport, has been close to her heart since fourth grade, when her father first taught her how to play the game. A Social Entrepreneur and Activist, she is also an enthusiastic Debater. Prachi began her Model United Nations (MUN) journey in sixth grade. Her first conference was an online event, where she listened to debates and had the chance to interact with participants from different states. Inspired by the experience, she continued her MUN journey, representing her school in various debates and honing her skills in diplomacy and public speaking. Prachi is the founder of the Kadam Foundation, an initiative she launched during the pandemic while in seventh grade. Living near a slum area, she was moved to action after seeing children forced to eat roadside food due to a lack of resources. Driven by a desire to help, she shared her concerns with her neighbors and friends, ultimately starting a small community fundraiser by collecting 10 rupees from each household to provide food for those in need. Her work didn’t stop there. Prachi also launched “Barande Wali Kaksha,” a makeshift classroom on her porch where she taught around 50 children from the slum community, continuing this effort for two years. Though she eventually relocated, many volunteers joined her mission, and the Kadam Foundation has since grown remarkably. It now operates in eight cities with over 250 volunteers, dedicated to supporting underserved communities across the region. For womens of the slum areas, she started ‘Aatmdhaar’ to provide skills training to them in activities like stitching, sewing, making achar-papad and more. The women make the products and they sell them out. Through this initiative, till now, more than 130 womens of slum areas or housewives of rural areas have become independent. Prachi Dwivedi also takes part in Rashtriya Sevika Samiti (RSS) activities. Becoming a member of this organization was her dream as her uncle was a member there and she used to see him work for the organization from her childhood. She got fascinated with the members’ marching and their prayers for the motherland. She joined this organization when she was in eighth grade. In the second year as a member, she got the opportunity to meet and stay with different people from different states in a camp for 15 days. She learned to do her work on her own, and learned lessons which helped her to grow her personal skills. Currently, she is the District Head or the ‘Nagar Karyavah’ of the organization for the Ayodhya Bypass area.
Prachi’s Badminton journey began with her father, whom she eagerly persuaded to teach her the sport. They practiced together every night for two hours. Initially, she struggled, unable to make a single hit, which led to frustration. However, with persistence, her confidence grew, and now she loves the game. Prachi shares that although she recently joined SAGE International School, her connection with it began in seventh grade. Advisors like Nirmal Sir and Raghuraman Sir have played a key role in her journey. Nirmal Sir, who once wrote an article and conducted an interview about her, has been a constant source of guidance, inspiring her to prioritize self-care and simplicity. She values his advice deeply and follows his words. At SAGE, Prachi appreciates the teachers as genuine mentors who are always ready to support students, allowing her to grow through various activities, including career fests. Additionally, Prachi reflects on her time in the RSS- Rashtriya Sevika Samita, where she learned about three guiding principles— मातृत्व (motherhood), नेतृत्व (leadership), and कर्तव्य (duty). She strives to embody these values, drawing inspiration from historical figures like Rani Laxmi Bai and Jija Bai for their kindness and leadership. These role models continue to inspire her as she develops her own strengths and values.
Prachi shares that she plays Badminton as it is a sport which makes her feel relaxed and makes her mood fresh.
As an active member of the RSS, Prachi has attended over 25 conferences to date and has even served on the executive board of the organization. Recently, she held distinguished roles as both Director General and President in one of these conferences.
Her favorite quote, "Success is a destination," fuels her drive to constantly achieve more. Her inner hunger remains unsatisfied, as she feels her journey is far from over and her ultimate destination still awaits. Prachi Dwivedi encourages young people to take the time to truly discover themselves. She believes that once you understand who you are, recognize your unique identity, and embrace your talents, the path to your future becomes clear.
