A student of SAGE International School, Ayodhya Nagar, Bhopal, Pravansh Shiv has been playing football, cricket, and volleyball since a young age. He has participated in various tournaments and has won several awards. Pravansh has also excelled in academics, securing fifth rank in the Maths Olympiad. He credits his school, football coach, and role model, Cristiano Ronaldo, for his success. He advises other young stars to be passionate and disciplined, and to never give up on their dreams.
Pravansh Shiv actively practices various sports, including Football, Cricket, and Volleyball. He began his football journey at the age of eight after seeing children in his colony playing the sport, which sparked his interest. Additionally, Pravansh started playing cricket at the age of six, inspired by watching Virat Kohli on TV. He dreams of becoming a player for the Indian cricket team. Two years ago, he also took up volleyball and has since participated in various volleyball tournaments.
Pravansh mentions that SAGE School is extremely good for studies, highlighting the supportive and kind nature of the teachers here. They have taught him the importance of humility in life. Additionally, he credits his football coach, Shahshat Sir, for instilling the spirit of sportsmanship in him and for providing constant support. Pravansh considers Cristiano Ronaldo his role model, admiring him for being a top scorer in the FIFA World Cup. From Ronaldo, he has learned the values of discipline, passion, and the steps necessary to perform well in football and achieve his dreams.
Pravansh explains that football consists of 11 players and involves various formations. He believes it is crucial to prioritize player safety on the field and to treat opponents with respect, avoiding humiliation or insults after a match, regardless of the outcome.
Pravansh has played in Under-14 football tournaments twice and participated in inter-school cricket competitions. In the Guru Cup Championship, a state-level football tournament, he earned the Man of the Match trophy. He also competed in the SGFI tournaments at the Sports Authority of India (SAI), where he was selected and qualified for the Madhya Pradesh state team. Recently, he played in the IPL, an inter-school tournament at International Public School (IPS), where he scored two goals and received the Man of the Match title in the inter-school football tournament. In addition to football, Pravansh participated in the SGFI volleyball tournament held at Aurobindo School. He is also excelling academically, securing fifth place in the school Math Olympiad, an international-level competition.
Pravansh Shiv is always motivated by his mother’s saying: “Winning or losing a match does not affect your career; what matters is the hard work and time you dedicate to it.” He advises other young stars to pursue their dreams with passion, maintain discipline, stay motivated, and to never give up on their aspirations.
