A ninth grade student of SAGE International School, Bhopal, Ridhima Jain practices Gymnastics. Her passion for dancing is also a driving force behind her decision to pursue gymnastics. Ridhima has earned medals, certificates, and trophies in gymnastics, and her teacher, Uma Sharma and her mother, serve as her role models. Ridhima advises other young stars to avoid excessive salt intake and maintain healthy eating habits to maintain flexibility and strength in gymnastics.
Ridhima Jain has been practicing gymnastics for three years from when she was in sixth grade, and has progressed to the inter- school level. She first considered playing basketball because her mother is a national basketball player, but she was unable to do so owing to a knee injury that kept her bed-ridden for two months. Later, she decided to try gymnastics, and after undergoing some training, she believes it is the sport for her.
Ridhima recalls that a teacher at her previous school, Sanskaar Valley, named Uma Sharma, constantly encouraged her to participate in sports despite her knee injury. Her teacher used to tell her that sports would help her build strength and improve her physical education. She also emphasized that gymnastics, like dancing, is a kind of art that brings happiness. Her remarks motivated Ridhima, who began participating in gymnastics. She sees her coach and mother as role models. Her mother's basketball journey motivates her, and she has learnt from her mother to work hard and never give up.
Ridhima explains that gymnastics is all about our body's flexibility. It also takes into account strength, muscles, and body posture. Gymnastics, like art, involves a variety of bodily positions. It involves a variety of exercises such as aerial gymnastics and acrobatics.
Ridhima Jain has earned several medals, certificates, and trophies in gymnastics. Her accomplishments continue to motivate her to do better every day and achieve more.
Ridhima's main skill is dancing, since she has a strong passion for it. Her key motivation for choosing gymnastics is its combination with dancing. It features modern dancing techniques and smoothness, which make you more flawless. Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam's words "Dream is not that which you see while sleeping, it is something that does not let you sleep" constantly inspires her. Her ultimate desire is to become a gymnast, and in order to attain it, she works hard and pushes herself. She advises the other young stars that when doing gymnastics, they should avoid eating too much salt since it affects flexibility. She believes that one must work hard, be strong, and maintain healthy eating habits. Gymnastics requires both a healthy diet and powerful muscles, she says.
