The Initiation

Rishita Goswami is currently learning to play the guitar. She shares that her journey began with participating in school singing and other competitions, which inspired her to learn an instrument. To enhance her musical skills, Rishita joined the GRV School of Music, where she is picking up the ropes of the art.

Gurus & Role Models

Rishita is learning and honing her musical skills under the expert guidance of her mentor, Gaurav Vashistha, at GRV School of Music. She shares that GRV School provides a welcoming environment where everyone is treated equally, and her teacher not only teaches her well but also offers unwavering support. The institute fosters a family-like atmosphere, making her feel comfortable and at ease. Gaurav Sir plays a crucial role in her learning journey, establishing a personal connection with students and creating a supportive, nurturing space for their growth, says Rishita. Rishita draws inspiration from her favorite singers Lata Mangeshkar, Shreya Ghoshal, and Palak Muchhal. Among them, Palak Muchhal's songs inspire her the most, and she often receives compliments that her voice resembles Palak's. These remarks boost Rishita's confidence and encourage her to continue singing with passion.

The Talent

Rishita finds learning chords on the guitar challenging, but she is determined to overcome it by using various techniques suggested by her teacher. Her teacher has introduced her to some shortcuts, making it easier for Rishita to grasp the chords, which is helping her improve and perform confidently.

Currently, Rishita performs weekly at cafes and other venues as a hobby, showcasing her musical talent. She has also represented her school and Rajasthan at the national level in the Itihaas Competition, where she participated in singing, further highlighting her passion for music.

A Bit More

The song "Chahun Main Ya Naa" from the movie Aashiqui 2, sung by Palak Muchhal, inspires her greatly. She advises other young stars to follow their passion or hobby for music. "If you truly love music with all your heart, make sure to follow it. You can pursue singing alongside your career as well. Singing is an art, and if you treat it with respect and devotion, you will not only gain money, fame, and respect, but everything will come your way."
