Shaurya is a talented swimmer studying at St. Anthony’s Senior Secondary School. Starting swimming from a very young age, Shaurya won her first medal in 2014 and has been tasting success since then. Shaurya advises new aspirants to keep going, be motivated, and never stop, as there's always something better coming your way.
Shaurya began swimming at a very young age of two and a half years and it has been thirteen years she has been swimming.
Shaurya has been practicing swimming under her coach Dilip Singh Chauhan at the Bhupal Nobles University. When it comes to her role model, Shaurya says that Michael Phelps is the best swimmer she looks up to. Further, she says that her parents play a vital role in her swimming journey as they have always motivated her to perform better each day.
Shaurya says that swimming helps you strengthen your arms and legs. She says that the body weight matters a lot in swimming, if you are underweight, you will float on water and if you are overweight, you will end up drowning yourself.
Shaurya got her very first medal in 2014 which was a bronze medal in Open State Swimming Competition. In 2019, she got three gold medals in school state championships and she was also selected for the nationals in the same. In 2023, she won two bronze and two silver medals.
Conveying her message to the aspirants, Shaurya says that just don’t stop, keep going, be motivated, and you will definitely achieve it. “There's always something better coming your way, so don’t stop” is the line that inspires him.
